Holiday Cottage Tous les jours Dimanche
An intimate escape for 2, tailored just for you
Where elegance meets serenity
About the Accommodation
**Ground Level**
As you enter, you immediately step into the cosy living space with a breakfast corner, seating area, and a small yet functional open kitchen. During the autumn and winter seasons, the comforting warmth of the pellet stove embraces you like a snug blanket. In the summer, the thick, characteristic walls keep the house refreshingly cool.
The living area flows seamlessly into the harmonious bathroom, where natural light accentuates the calming atmosphere created by the unique combination of eco-friendly insulation materials, a tactile lime/hemp coating, and round shapes in soft sandy tones. And did we mention that the walk-in shower is more than spacious enough for two?
**Level 1:**
The stairs lead you to the cosy bedroom tucked beneath the roof’s ridge. Enjoy ultimate sleep comfort on a king-size box spring with crisp, rumpled vintage cotton sheets. The four-season down duvet keeps you warm as the nights grow longer and colder, while feeling cool in the summer.
For the cocooners amongst you we have installed a beamer and a projection wall!
The cottage is located next to our house, is completely detached, and has its own private guest garden (300m²) across the narrow country lane. Our garden is situated at the back of the two homes, allowing everyone to retreat into the greenery at their own pace and in complete tranquility…

Your daily baguette
We don’t have any shops in the village, but only 5 km away in Brinon-sur-Beuvron, you’ll find a bakery, a small grocery store and deli, a post office, a bar-tabac, a pharmacy, a gas station, and an ATM. Every Sunday, there’s a modest market offering fruit and vegetables, meat products, and an organic dairy stall with fresh bread, eggs, yogurt and goatcheese straight from the farm!
On Saturday mornings, you can visit the covered market in Clamecy (25 km), which offers a wide variety of foods and regional specialties. It’s a delightful outing, and we’ll be happy to lend you a wicker basket for all your shopping!
It’s a good idea to stock up on supplies along the way, as the nearest supermarkets (and gas stations) are 10 to 25 km away

Guest reviews
What do our guests say
‘Ssssst …! Don’t tell anybody. Let’s keep this a secret’ is a spontaneous first reaction and one way of looking at this hidden gem in the heart of the French countryside. But this would be really selfish.
So let’s spread the news about this wonderful place ‘Les Brosses’ a tiny 5-house-hamlet near the beautiful little village of Authiou in Burgundy, about the lovely little gîte Martine and Wim have created there next to their own home.
We had the most lovely restful week here and left restored and ready to re-enter our lives. The gite has been beautifully renovated and tastefully furnished with carefully chosen pieces. There is a cool, shady garden complete with hammock. Martine and Wim could not have been more welcoming and helpful, including supplying us with vegetables and herbs from the garden. Highly recommended .
Beautiful cycling and hiking surroundings, a lovely cottage furnished with great attention to detail and authenticity, and very thoughtful and helpful hosts. Relax, enjoy, and feel like every day is Sunday – and more: just perfect!
We immediately felt at home in this special, peaceful place and in the beautiful cottage where everything was provided. The garden radiated tranquility and offered a stunning view. We received great tips for delicious and unique places to eat, and even had the chance to take an introductory class with a woodcraft artist. A truly wonderful experience.
